Autumn pathways...

With Thanksgiving nearly upon us, my husband has managed to finish the second walkway he started earlier this summer and thus end our front yard renovation for this year. This pathway stretches from the driveway to the front path leading to the front door.

He also built a proper step and landing, since the driveway is higher than the rest of the front yard.
Here’s what the walkway looked like before:

It’s quite an improvement, isn’t it?

And below you can see the foundation for next year’s project ~ the pathway leading to the other side of the house. Those bricks will be rearranged, added to and put down properly to wind around that curved flowerbed and match the other two walkways.

All in all, a very successful year in our yard renovation and definitely something to be thankful for.
Wishing all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving...

  1. Your autumnal post is quite, quite lovely.

Alas, there are no vistages of green in any corner of my world. It's been snowing, with a bit of blizzard conditions. Everything is a winter wonderland. And I'm loving it. I'm hibernating and enjoying my feeling Christmas-y and getting some new things up on my blog in anticipation of December.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend, Eileen. It's ALWAYS a treat to visit you!
