Unexpected beauty...
This past week, we had a gladiolus bloom in our yard. We've lived here for a few years and it's never bloomed before ~ we didn't even know it was there. Just one, among some other flowers and bushes and calla lilies. We thinned out that area earlier in the season and maybe we made room for it to grow and bloom again without even knowing it. It was a lovely surprise.
