Poinsettias and pine cones...

Poinsettias and pine cones are two of my favorite things to decorate with during the holidays. I love their simple, natural beauty. Red poinsettias suit most of the house and the porch, but I like to keep the color palette in the living room soft and pink, so I usually choose pink and cream poinsettias for that room. This year I only needed one pink poinsettia and luckily I found a beauty that fit perfectly in my cream holder.
As I said, red rules in the dining room and other rooms, but I did tie a lovely blue ribbon around one of the poinsettias, as you can see. It just seemed to suit with the blue walls. I threw a few red accents in with my basket of pine cones on the dining room table, too, as you can see. I love a little natural beauty at the holidays to help balance out the lights and such.
I hope all of you are enjoying a lovely week...
