Summer delight...

Happy August, everyone. It’s the last full month of summer and I have lots of plans for the month: beach time, a stack of books to catch up with out on the porch now that the roof is fixed, and of course, another makeover. The mudroom will finally be getting the attention it needs this month and I am actually quite excited about getting it spruced up now that I have the kitchen done. What are your plans?
I will also be taking some time to enjoy the treats of summer before they’re gone, like watermelon fresh from the garden, homemade peach cobbler for dinner and gorgeous flowers for the house.
And then there’s the light. I love how light changes with the seasons. The light of the late afternoon/early evening on a summer day makes my living room glow softly ~ a true summer’s delight.
I hope all of you will take some time to delight in the gifts of summer as it comes to a close.
