Pink Saturday has gone to the dogs... and a giveaway (or 2)!
Giveaway information is at the bottom of this post. Enjoy!
Emily Elizabeth, aka Stinkerbelle. Isn't it ridiculous how beautiful she is? And yes, those eyelashes are real. Everyone asks.
Emily on her favorite bed.
Wally, aka Wallypoo, (on the bed) and Abigail Grace, aka Chewbacca. Abby died a few years ago, and then we got Emily.
Nicholaus, aka Nick.
Emily is our little Shih Tzu - a complete and total princess who also has never met a mud puddle she didn't like. Tomboy to the hilt. I've tried very hard to teach her manners, but she's so excitable, she forgets. My boys are very well behaved and listen incredibly well - Emily, not so much. But she's adorable and loves people and they love her and she's convinced that's enough to get through life - why should she have to listen to me, too? She'll be 4 later this month and is still as rambunctious as she was the day we brought her home as a puppy, despite her docile appearance in these photos.
Russ is my oldest - he was also my first dog and is the reason I love dogs so much. I rescued him from the pound nearly 13 years ago when he was about 9 months old and we've been together ever since. There's something unique about Russ - he has this sort of "old soul" vibe that a number of people have commented on to me over the years. He's incredibly intelligent (seriously, the stories I could tell you...) and the most loyal companion ever. His hearing and eyesight are going, he has trouble with his back legs and he doesn't eat anywhere near as much as he did back when he was young enough to earn the nickname "Piggy," but despite all that, he is still vigilant in his mission as my protector. He is one of the great loves of my life.
Wally is another rescue, as is Nick. Wally and Nick are both odd dogs, but in very different ways. Wallypoo is little and lithe and has problems seeing - which is why he barks at everything until he gets close enough to see what it actually is. He's also quite grouchy. Not mean, grouchy. There is a difference. Mostly, he just doesn't want to be bothered. He's quite lovable to those who love him, but the circle is very select. He'll be 12 on Halloween - for some reason I always thought that him being born on that day really suited.
Now Nick, well, Nick is special. He is an overgrown lap dog, bless him. He's also possibly the most neurotic dog on the planet and has a very real fear of smooth surfaces, like linoleum. We rescued him when he was about 6 weeks old from the pound - he shouldn't even have been away from his mother. In fact, he was so little when we got him, he fit in one hand. He was quite sick, full of worms, etc., and it took us awhile to get him well. As a result of him being sick for so long, he stayed small. And then, almost overnight, as he got better, he was huge. He grew so fast that his suddenly long legs always seemed to get tangled up in each other, and he always seemed to fall on smooth surfaces, hence the fear. Nick is also not the the brightest bulb in the pack, which tends to add to his various neurosis. But what he lacks in brains, he more than makes up for in love. Nick really is just love. He'll be 11 in June.
Well, that's everybody. And in case you're wondering, the boys have never once objected to their pink dog beds. :)
As always, thanks to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting this weekly tribute to pink. Please stop by her blog for a complete list of participants.
And don't forget to register for my giveaways if you're interested. Wishing all of you a beautiful weekend!

OK, on to the giveaways...
I wanted to say thank you to all the sweet people who come by my blog to visit. First, I'm giving away a group of bath products from Victoria's Secret. The scent is Sweet Daydream - apple, raspberry, vanilla combo - and it smells really nice. Not too heavy, not too sweet. And it's pink!
The set includes the body wash (seen above), the hydrating body lotion and the refreshing body mist.
My second giveaway is this fabulously funny Anne Taintor collection, in paperback:
OK, the details. All you need to do is leave a comment on this post and let me know which of the giveaways you want to enter. You do not have to be a follower to enter - you just have to leave a comment and let me know if you want the bath stuff or the book. My blog followers, however, can enter BOTH giveaways, as a special thank you from me to them. Again, just leave a comment and let me know.
I will leave the giveaway open for a week. Winners will be announced on Sunday, March 21. Best of luck!
