Pink Saturday...
Happy Pink Saturday, all! I've missed the last couple weeks, but I am glad to be back. Today I thought I would share some of my pink dishes, compliments of my grandma. (Excuse the not-so-great photo). My grandma gave me her depression glass pink cake plate, the tea cups with pink flowers and the beautiful cream plate and bowl in the background with pink and gold designs. The bowl and plate actually belonged to my great-grandmother, so it's nice they've been handed down. Those adorable pink glass salt and pepper shakers in the front aren't old, but they are from my grandma. She found them on one of her little shopping excursions and of course thought I had to have them.
As part of Pink Saturday, I'd like to feature a blog I discovered through this event. Be sure to stop by and see Vicki at Bunny Cottage. I'm sure you'll find something cute to enjoy. :)
Also, don't forget to stop by the other blogs participating in Pink Saturday. You can find a complete list at How Sweet the Sound. As always, thanks to Beverly for hosting.
Have a great weekend!
Your Grandmother's dishes are beautiful. Pink depression glass is such fun to collect. My pattern is Miss America and I collect clear as opposed to a color. Had an entire red set of depression glass one time and it looked great mixed with other Christmas dishes. Sadly those red plates are in someone else's home via one of the many garage sales I've had over the years.
ReplyDeleteHappy pink Saturday to you. Have a great weekend.
Sam

What lovely china - and the cruet does go with it beautifully. How nice to have heirlooms (my mother broke everything - there wasn't a complete set of anything in our house! Dad threatened to buy Melamine...)
