Rejoicing in the holidays...
Happy December, everyone. I hope all of you enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving. After a wonderful day with loved ones, I spent most of the rest of the long weekend decorating for Christmas. Since Thanksgiving was so late this year, I wanted to get it done right after so we would have time to enjoy the house all aglow. There are only three weekends until Christmas and I’ll be busy shopping and baking and generally rejoicing in the magic of the holidays, all of which is much easier to do surrounded by holiday beauty.
I took these photographs of the living room all decorated for Christmas yesterday at twilight. While I enjoy a lot of red and green in my other holiday decorations, I stick with the pink/metallic theme in my holiday decorating in this room. There are two trees in the living room ~ a slim, 4-foot champagne-colored tree by the fireplace and a small, tabletop pink tree on the great Pink Flamingo wall. They are both very feminine, much like the rest of the room. I love how it all looks.
I’ll have more holiday decorating over the next several days. Wishing all of you a beautiful week...
