The beauty of spring...
Spring has been glorious this year where I live. Unusually, we have actually had a spring. Normally we get a week or two of in-between weather and then it’s 90 degrees until October. But this year has been different. We have had warm days, wet days and chilly days all mixed together. The result has been a stunning display so far from everything that has come into bloom, and a healthy return by everything else that is greening up.
Last spring we had a really late snow storm. It hit just as the azaleas were coming back, killing all the buds and flowers. It also hurt everything that had started to come back to life, stunting it all a bit.
This year it has been as if everything is trying to make up for last year. Take a look...
The azaleas in our neighborhood have been divine...
This climbing rose of mine has blooms floating across the sky...
My ancient purple azalea was covered in beautiful flowers...
And this pink climber is going wild all over my picket fence...
How is spring where you live?
