Pink Saturday... A new pink project!
Photo by Keith Scott Morton/Country Living
Happy Pink Saturday, all! I thought I'd share a project I dreamed up this week. I have a nice wood armoire (see below) that I've been thinking needs a makeover. I applied a whitewash stain to it a little over 5 years ago now and while I was happy with it at the time, I'm ready for a change. When I stumbled across the photo above, I suddenly knew that I wanted to paint it pink. So, using the china cabinet above as my inspiration, I'm going to paint my armoire a luscious pink and replace the knobs with something prettier. I'm thinking of trimming it out in white - though I'm not sure about that. I'm also thinking about transforming the inside with shelves - right now, jackets hang in it - so I can use it for linens. I guess we'll just have to see.
Well, I'm off to pick out pink paint chips. I will, of course, post pictures of the transformation - probably on a future Pink Saturday, so all of you can see the results.
Please be sure to stop by Beverly's place - How Sweet the Sound - for a complete list of Pink Saturday participants. Have a wonderful weekend, all!
How fun! I can't wait to see!! Happy Pink Saturday :-)

What a coincidence, sugar! I found you on pink saturday and have never heard of you, but our blog names are very similar. Do you perchance like Alexandra Stoddard? She writes books about living beautifully and changed my life. I'm going to go peruse your blog now, chickee. Nice to meet you!

Hi Connie! I do like Alexandra Stoddard, though I am only just now getting acquainted with her books. I have seen her name mentioned frequently by other authors, so I finally got around to seeking out her work. Isn't that funny about our blog names? I'm off to check out yours now.

Your armoire will look wonderful painted pink. Maybe with glass knobs or white ones with pink flowers on them. Happy Pink
