The beauty of a day at Biltmore...

I spent a lovely day yesterday wandering the grounds of Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C., and greatly enjoying the Dressing Downton exhibit. I thought all of you would enjoy a stroll, too.
Let’s start in the conservatory and the gardens around and near it, including the beautiful azalea garden, which was in full bloom...

The palm house was warm and full of gorgeous plants...

And then there was the exhibition inside the house, featuring the actual costumes from Downton Abbey. The costumes were displayed throughout the house in various rooms. The exhibition was very well done, informative and interesting ~ and the outfits even more divine in person.

I admit, I surreptitiously snapped a few photos of the dresses (shhh)...

The magnificent staircase...

Gorgeous wisteria...

And the lovely mountain view from the terrace...

  1. I've been to the Biltmore, too. It's gorgeous! And how wonderful to see those costumes. They fit right into the decor, don't they?

  2. You naughty girl taking those inside photos, lol. I was there today and really enjoyed the display of the Downton clothes. The azaleas are beautiful too. I took several outside pictures and will do a post. Someday, we need to plan a trip to meet there in person!
