Garden update...

The cottage garden I began working on in earnest last year has sprung back to life this spring. It’s wonderful to see things green up, bloom and even show signs of new growth.
The climbing pink rose I planted along the fence last year has started to poke through and grow on both sides, just like I wanted.

My lavender smells wonderful all in bloom...

You can see I have some wild berries growing along part of the walkway. I think they are kind of pretty and I love that they just grew there all by themselves, so I’m going to leave them. I suspect the birds and wind carried the seeds; some of these grow by the front porch as well.
The empty spot you see in the photo below is where I’ll plant some zinnias ~ last year, they grew so tall and lovely all along the walkway.

I have planted a few new things in the bed on the other side of the walkway ~ that side gets much more shade, so its requirements are a bit different. I’ll share some photos of my new additions another time.

Wishing everyone a lovely day...
