Enjoying the last bits of Christmas...


Since I have to return to work tomorrow, I am spending today enjoying the last bits of Christmas before I have to take it all down next weekend. Do you do that, too? All the lights and candles are lit and their glow warms the house. It’s nice to have some quiet time to play with my gifts and do a little puttering about the house. Now I’m off to enjoy my new book and a cup of tea.

    Yes, it is great to take the time after the busy. Our company just left this morning so this evening it will be quiet. The fire will be lit and the trees and candles will glow.

    Oh yes, I love this time after Christmas to just enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the 'last bits of Christmas'.

    I was most interested to see the buffet side table in your first picture. It reminds me so much of a similar one my mom and dad had many years ago. My sister restored it and it now sits in her front entry in her beautiful home near the Rocky Mountains (here in Canada). Lovely.
