The beauty of birthday flowers...

If there is one thing that makes getting another year older more pleasant, it is birthday flowers.
My husband brought me these roses for my birthday last week ~ aren’t they lovely? I quite like the splashes of purple and rustic touches.
I seem to have missed most of July and August here, only being able to post sporadically as things got a little crazy. I am so happy that everything seem to have finally calmed down (knock on wood) and I can get back to my hobbies. I have missed visiting all of you and seeing what you are up to ~ I hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer.
I, for one, will be glad to see summer go. It has been miserably hot and humid off and on for weeks and this week looks to be just as bad. Thank goodness it’s September; autumn can’t come soon enough.
While I have been busy with work this summer, my husband has been working on redoing our yard, laying a new sidewalk and putting up a picket fence. I’ll have pictures to show you soon.
Wishing all of you a lovely Labor Day here in the States...

  1. Happy birthday, Eileen! Hope this next year of life is beautiful for you.

Believe it or not, I'm looking forward to the ending of summer too. I've come to realize that although I don't love winter, I don't really love long, hot summers anymore (age will do that to you). I am very anxious for the arrival of fall.

    Blessings,
    Patti

  2. Beautiful roses...

And I enjoyed seeing that lovely table the vase sits upon. Did you do the artwork on it?

Here's wishing you a wonderful birthday, dear Eileen... and may the year ahead be one of super joy and abundance of everything good!

    Loving thoughts,

  5. Happy birthday, and I love the table your flowers are sitting on. It's gorgeous. Not sure if I've been here before, I think so. Our blogs have similar titles so I knew I would like it here!
