Kitchen love...

From the fabulous old cupboard filled to the brim with my colorful dishes to the skylight above the pan hanger that floods the room with natural light to the island that has electricity and shelves for my cookbooks, the kitchen in our new home ticks all my boxes. Character, function, storage ~ I'm absolutely in love.
I like red in the kitchen, so you'll see quite a bit of sprinkled around. I hope you haven't tired of the home tour yet. The last room I want to show you is our bathroom, which is the most beautiful bathroom I've ever had the pleasure of inhabiting, right down to the fabulous claw foot tub. I'll have pictures for you sometime this weekend.
I hope all of you are having a wonderful week full of beauty.

  5. I love it! This house just keeps getting better and better! Why haven't you been living in it all along? :P
I was looking at the picture of the swinging door and I thought.. oh look at all that dirt all over her door. Then I realized, it's my computer monitor that's filthy. (hey, a girl can hope .. right? :P )

I really love that old cupboard and I've always wanted an island in my kitchen. All the little carpets and the chair are so cute and really add to everything.

I can't wait to see the washroom now! We had a claw foot tub at our first house and that is the only thing that I miss about that place. I'm with Kathie, I'm hating my place now. :P

  6. Laura, you're so funny. I'm sure there's plenty of dirt on the floor, too. lol It's going to be a little hard keeping that painted white floor clean with all our dogs, but oh well. I'm so glad you guys are enjoying seeing the house, but I don't want to make you discontented with your own! We are loving it here; it's nice to move into a place that the owners just fixed up. I only wish we'd moved here soon - it seems odd to know we'll only be here a little over a year. But then I get to move back to my actual house, which I adore, so that makes up for it. :)

  9. i love your kitchen! i have always wanted a big island with pots hanging over it (they always take up way too much space in the cupboards anyway, and they are so hard to get to there...) and a skylight on top of this? whoa!!! heavenly light!
