Time for a renovation...

Several people have had a problem getting my blog to load lately - it's something to do with the background image, from what I can tell. And it happened again today. I figured that is as good of an excuse as any to renovate. So, for the next several days, I'll be working on redoing the look of my blog. If you stop by, you'll probably see chaos, but eventually all will be put to normal. I know some of you just love how my blog looks (bless you!) and I promise, I will try to make it just as pretty while simplifying the look a little bit. Wish me luck as I try to navigate to a new template, etc. Tips welcome.
I'm joining Kathie's Wishes for Wednesday at Just a Happy Housewife. Stop by to join in. I'll see you on the other side of my blog renovation (fingers crossed)...

  1. Good luck on your renovation. I'm sure it will turn out beautifully.

I switched to the new template a while back and love it. Now I can get extra-large pictures, which I've really wanted for a while.

  2. thanks for playing along! I got your message and decided I would answer on here while checking out blogs. I didn't have any problems loading your blog....I've heard the same about mine too, but I think it might be the browser that some folks use. I use Firefox and have very few problems.

  3. Good luck!
I was a bit slow to load for me right now but looks just fine.
Will you be at the party, Saturday? (AFancifulTwist?)

  4. It loads fine for me. I use internet explorer. I've heard that when you have a background, that the page needs to load twice--one for the original plain background and another for the designer one so no matter what it slows it down. Some like Shabby Blogs, who has gorgeous backgrounds, unfortunately cause some downloading problems all too often. I rather change my header and leave the background white or plain because that way I can load large photos. Hope you have fun creating your new page. Wish it was that simple redecorating our homes.

    Happy WFW!
